Divination

Introduction to Divination

D

ivination is an interesting subject. Within it’s realm are such fun things as Water Divining and finding lost items. On the other end of the Divination spectrum, lays the areas of Clairvoyance or “Clearing Seeing” (far seeing) and Clairaudience or “Clear Hearing”, all are used to either tell what is happening in another location or to foretell the future events for specifics.

Methods used in Divination by the Diviner or Oracle are as varies as there are local customs world wide through history. Casting the Bones, Interpreting Entrails, spreading Tarot Cards, casting the I-Ching, Patterns of Clouds, reading Tea Leaves, watching Smoke from a fire  and the uses of Runes are all well documented and have a place in history. I have chosen to show here some of the methods I use and may add more later.. I will add here that with the pages of the earlier Codices Venificia, there may well be spelling and grammatical errors so bear with me. Historically such things did not exist.

Divination is a serious part of our magickal lives. We use it on a daily basis to seek answers to such diverse things as finding a misplaced item, the wellbeing of loved ones and those we have been helping, to help seek out a new job and to even weather watch for the most auspicious time and date to spend a day fishing. In other words, we use various divination methods as did our forefathers eons ago when their lives depended on making the best choices and decisions….

I should warn you that the pages used by the following links are graphics heavy so may take some time to load especially if you are on dial up.

Examples of Divination I use are:
